Our participants get hands-on guidance and support so they can create their necklaces, earrings and many other beaded craft options. The CanBead Kits contain all that is needed to make beautiful jewellery and more. With this CanBead Kit and the skills learned in the workshop, participants can make fabulous jewellery on their own. CanBead Kits provide a pleasant distraction from illness and treatment, but also a chance for the user to gain a real sense of achievement and to spend creative, joyous time with other people. Work with host agencies in all of our regions these are made up of non-for-profits and charitable organisations- if you wish to know who we work within your area, please email us at [email protected]
We offer our workshops around the country. Currently, we have regional coordinators/tutors in Mid and South Canterbury, North Canterbury, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Southland, Central Otago and Otago with more regions opening yearly.
Interview with one of our fabulous tutors:
"I would like to thank the CanBead team for working together with CanTeen to put on a fabulous night for us, and in particular for the patience, ideas and bubbly personalities of the CanBead instructors while they were teaching us to make our jewellery items. It was a fantastic night which we all got something out of and where we all left with a beaming smile. The people, the laughs and the stories made it one of the best CanTeen girl’s nights yet."
